These searches also serve as a great introduction to word searches, which can be a challenging concept for young kids. With this in mind, word are ‘hidden’ throughout, but made with young children in mind.

Words are only found vertically and horizontally (not diagonally) and words are only written left to right and down. Therefore young children can practice finding the first letter of the word and then the second next versus looking backwards etc.
