There are two certificate types included. One is a certificate for completing: “50 STEM Challenges” and the other certificate says “The STEM Challenge” so it can be used after the whole set of tasks are completed, or focus on a specific STEM challenge and give the certificate for the one challenge.

 

-Activity List (All of the STEM challenge name are listed.) Some of the activities include a link to a blog post demonstrating ideas on how to do the challenge in a in-depth post. The list is included in black and white and color.

 

-Marking rubric (black and white and color). Levels 1,2,3,4 that can be used with any of the challenges.

The materials that are needed for the 50 STEM challenges are:

• Wooden blocks
• Construction paper
• Clothes pins
• Plastic cups
• Plastic building blocks
• Tape
• Scissors
• Ping pong ball
• Large craft sticks (tongue depressors)
• Playdough
• Paper rolls
• Elastics
• Balloons
• Aluminum foil
• Straws

 

Many of the challenges allow the materials to be reused over and over.

 

Fill a bin with the materials and pull out what you need for the challenge you choose. The only other item you need access to for a few of the float/sink challenges is water/a sink.
