Setting Up Your Scavenger Hunt

Setting up your scavenger hunt is quick and easy. Simply print the pages and cut each page in half (each page includes two clues).

Place, or hide the clues around your house in the specific locations. The locations are:

  • Pots and Pans
  • Mirror
  • Shoes
  • A Heart (Paper cut out etc.)
  • Family Photo
  • Bed
  • Fridge
  • Plant

Depending on the age of the children doing the hunt, and how long you want the hunt to last, you can either simply set the riddle in the location, or you can hide it for players to search for.

On the bottom of each riddle, the location you will set the page is printed (upside down). This is just to help make set up faster and easier.

Valentines Day Scavenger Hunt Welcome

The first riddle can be given to players to start the hunt, or set on a table or somewhere for players to find. The clue needs to be set with, or near a heart. One of the future clues leads back to the heart set with this clue. It can be a simple cut out from paper, or a heart decoration for Valentine’s Day. Any heart will work. The first clue reads:

With Valentine’s Day in our thoughts,

This scavenger hunt starts where you store your pots.

Scavenger Hunt Clue #2

Players will check around the pots and pans for their next riddle. Once they find it, they will work to solve the next riddle.

Lots of smiles, hugs and affection,

For your next clue check where you see your reflection.

Scavenger Hunt Riddle #3

Children will race to check a mirror for their next clue. Part of the fun of a scavenger hunt is that the first place, or mirror, that players check may not be the mirror with a clue. They have to search to find the correct location.

Once they find the clue on the mirror, they’ll work on their next riddle.

Roses are red, violets are blue,

Your next clue for this scavenger hunt is placed with your shoes.

Valentines Day Scavenger Hunt Clue #5

This riddle takes children back to where they started. I set the first clue with a few foam hearts and this clue folded, and taped under one of the hearts for players to come back to and find. Players will return to this original location and search more to find this clue:
