Earth Day everyday! What better way to celebrate Earth Day than getting outside? I lucked out with a great day and beautiful weather. For this earth day activity I placed 5 signs with messages to keep in mind to help the earth. I tied a balloon to each of them because I found they blended in too well and I worried they would be really challenging for students to find.
We walked around the school on our little scavenger hunt until we found all the messages. I played music as we walked and with the last message there was a huge globe beach ball that I played the song “We’ve got the whole earth in our hands” and hit around the ball. Depending on time, I would ask at each message if they could think of a way to save electricity, or reduce, reuse, recycle.
