I love creating escape rooms and my kids, and students always enjoy completing them. The first few escape rooms that I did I made sure to give each child a completion certificate. It’s a simple addition to the game, but after spending an hour working to complete the game the certificates always brings the players joy.

You can create an escape room that is completed anywhere, based on any theme and these certificates will work. There are two certificates included in the printable. One is a colorful, fun party type theme for kids and the other is a bit more mysterious and perhaps for older players.

Choose either certificate that you want to give and print as many copies as you want. Sometimes I only print one copy, such as when I do an escape room with my class. I fill it out for all students and post it in the classroom.

When I do an escape room with a small group of my kids’ friends for a birthday party or fun playdate, then I suggest giving each child their own copy.

Giving kids their own copy to take home is a great option because it’s a nice keepsake and kids will love telling their parents about their great escape!

Using the Free Printable

Often after the final puzzle in an escape room is solved, players are sent to a final location in the room or to a final printable. That printable can be this completion certificate or a small prize. It’s an easy and clear way to tell players that they were successful in finishing the game.

You can fill out the players name(s) ahead of time as well as the date. Depending on the certificate you choose to use you can also fill out the time it took kids to complete the game after the game is complete.

Within the file the two certificates featured above are included as well as these two page in black and white. You can choose to use these pages if you want to save ink. The black and white pages can also be given to kids to color after they finish their escape room.
