I am so happy with how these turned out! These feel really cool to walk in – I had to try them out myself! Need a relay race idea? These slider shoes were so much fun to use. They are made from small cookie sheets with holes drilled into the sides and thick rope woven through. I secured the rope with heavy duty tape.
I have the rope come up to about waist height for kindergarten so that they can comfortably hold the rope.
The shoes are fun to use for relay races, because they are easy to slip feet into and out of, but my kids just ended up liking the feel of walking in them.
They were originally designed to use in the winter on snow for a relay, but it turns out they are just as much fun on grass in the spring! So easy to make and hours of fun.
