Need quick, fun, and hands-on kindergarten math activities? Try this! I handed out small baggies with 10 goldfish crackers in each back. (I made one bag for each student.)
We first counted how many fish everyone had and made sure that we all had 10. We then lined up our crackers and we followed along together as each of our fish went on an adventure.
We ate a cracker each time one of the fish left and then recounted our fish. It was a fun little math activity that kept students engaged – especially since Goldfish crackers are always a favourite.
As an extension, we used large Goldfish crackers and created a fish bowl in a bag.
